We tried out our new math program today.  Students will receive assignments online every now and then. Today's was to watch the intro video to Topic 1 Lesson 1.

Community Garden

Mrs. Casey & Mrs. Agostino's math classes took a walk to the community gardens today.  Mr. Coppola was there and allowed us to plant some tomatoes.  feel free to care for those plants throughout the summer.

Today we used math center games to review skills.  It was a fun way to practice multiplication and division.

What is "Choice Board Time"?

Choice boards are tic-tac-toe boards that consist of math activities students work on while I meet with small guided math groups.  The activities include Going Digital (practice using calculators), Math Library (connects literature to math), Enrichment pages, Ready Made Center's (practice learned skills by playing a game) and more.

After watching my daughter complete her online homework assignment, I decided to create lessons online for my math class.  We are trying it out in class before doing at home.  The lessons include videos that teach a skill, followed by problems to solve.
