Mrs. Casey's 5th Grade Class: Parenting in the Digital Age

All About Me

Not only am I a teacher, but I'm a mom too! Mr. Casey and I enjoy spending time with our two daughters. You can usually find us on either a lacrosse or soccer field cheering one of them on!

My daughter Hailey is 19 years old. She is attending her 2nd year at Plymouth State University where she is studying elementary education/special education. Hailey is a player for their women's lacrosse team. My daughter Lexie is 16 years old (just got her driving permit!) and is a junior at Tyngsboro High. She plays on both the Varsity soccer & lacrosse teams. She also plays club lacrosse for the NE Twisters.

I have two pets, a dog named Rosie and a cat named Ralphie. Along with teaching and being a mom, I'm also a lacrosse coach. Currently I am the head coach for the 7th/8th grade team for Dual State. I was head coach of the high school varsity team, I've coached youth for 9 years, and I was an assistant for the club team Wolfpack. I enjoy working with the high school team during their off season, prepping them for the season.

Although this is my 2nd year as a 5th grade teacher at FW - it is my 18th year as a teacher. I started out in Waltham, stayed home to run a home-daycare for 3 years, then I started teaching again at FW. In Waltham I taught 1st grade and 5th grade. At FW I have been an IA in numerous grades, covered maternity leaves in grades 4 and 5, and taught 4th grade for 6 years.
