Persuasive Essays ... Don't Eat Turkey!

After learning about persuasive writing, students in Mrs. Casey's ELA class searched through magazines looking for examples of persuasive advertising.  Next, they brainstormed ideas for what a turkey might "say" to convince humans to not eat turkey on Thanksgiving.  Finally, the students wrote their own persuasive essays from a turkey's point of view.

Can you find the turkeys?  I can only see Santa, a belly dancer, the sun, a pilgrim......
